Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced tutor/assessor. You will be the Lead Tutor/Curriculum Lead for Career Development Professional Level 6. You will also be a tutor with a case load of 24 learners and will be responsible for the management and development of the curriculum for Level 6 CDP.

Job Description
- Leading the development, enhancement, and review of the curriculum, ensuring it aligns with educational standards, cascading changes to resources, and ensuring all tutors are working within a standardised approach.
- Design assessment briefs for the curriculum area, SOW’s and embedding of FS maths and English, and standardise cohort sessions for the curriculum area. Ensuring the curriculum is up to date and being aware of changes to the criteria and standards, monitoring and cascading to the curriculum team and Head of Quality. Collaborate with relevant teams to optimise the use of learning resources, including timetabling and resource allocation.
- Identify sector-based learning opportunities and cascade new knowledge and working practice to the team.
- Monitoring the quality of teaching and learning within the curriculum area, modelling best teaching and learning practices, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing strategies to enhance learner outcomes and positive learning experiences.
- Providing leadership and guidance to the curriculum team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment, and ensuring staff clarity on their roles and responsibilities.
- Chair standardisation meetings with the team to ensure the quality and consistency of each qualification. Monitor succession rates against the national average
- Ofsted- communicate and coordinate with the curriculum team and be part of the forthcoming Ofsted inspections.
- Be responsible for a caseload of work-based Apprenticeship Learners and will plan and carry out assessments, ensuring the timely achievement of qualifications.
- Prepare, agree and review assessment plans with each candidate. Create learner portfolios that meet the agreed target standards and ensure they are submitted on time.
- Manage and maintain learner portfolio.
